The University of Louisiana at Lafayette (20 miles)

Acadian Hills Country Club (10 miles)

Conveniently located at the junction of I-10 and I-49 and features: premier 18-hole golf course, driving range, pro shop, 19th Hole Bar & Grille, seasonal swimming pool, and more! Y’all can also work on your driving & putting at the nearby CAJUN OAKS & CITY PARK Golf Courses!

Cajun Country Swamp Tours (20 miles)

Located east of the park, just a mile south of I-10 on the banks of scenic Bayou Teche in Breaux Bridge. You’ll float in a “crawfish skiff” through the beautiful, surreal Louisiana cypress swamp with a swamp tour guide who is a native, experienced commercial fisherman, an avid outdoors man, and holds college degrees in Zoology and Botany. The Cypress Island/Lake Martin Swamp is famous for its lush foliage and abundant wildlife: alligators, egrets, herons, bayous, ancient cypress trees covered with Spanish moss, and much more!

The Mall of Acadiana (20 miles)

Louisiana Spirits (40 miles)

An 18,000 square foot distilling facility that features a gallery celebrating the state’s historic role as a sugar cane producer and rum distiller, a 109 year-old farmhouse (the first home built in Iowa, Louisiana) that has been saved and relocated to the site, a gift shop, and more.

Zoo of Acadiana (22 miles)

Conrad Rice Mill (34 miles)

The Conrad Rice Mill is the oldest rice mill in America. It is also one of the leading tourist attractions in this area of the Bayou Teche. In 1981, the Mill was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Crystal Rice Heritage Farm (18 miles)

“One step into the past and two steps into the future”…No other words can describe the memorable experience of Crystal Rice Plantation Heritage Farm. Tour groups from all over the United States and other countries come to learn about the unique harvesting of the rice and crawfish as they share the field. A rice farm since 1890 and tourist attraction since 1965, Crystal Rice Plantation Heritage Farm has expanded its facilities to enhance your experience on the Cajun Prairie of Southwest Louisiana.

Vermillionville (16 miles)

Opened in 1990, Vermilionville is a living history museum and folklife park that preserves and represents the cultural resources of the Acadian, Native American, and Creole cultures – from the time period 1765 to 1890.

The park sits on a 23-acre site on the banks of the Bayou Vermilion with 19 attractions, including seven restored original homes with more than 13 local artisans that provide demonstrations on a variety of essential crafts performed by the early settlers.

Lafayette & Jockey Lot Flea Market (13 miles)

Shopping has gotten a whole lot more fun at Lafayette Jockey Lot South Louisiana’s Open Air Market on I-49 just 1 mile north of I-10. Lafayette Jockey Lot is open rain or shine, every Saturday and Sunday 8 am till 5pm, with hundreds of vendors featuring collectibles, clothing, antiques, leather goods, home décor, terra cotta pots, plants, sporting memorabilia, furniture, and so much more!
